EP8 - The Key to Money, Happiness & Purpose

In this episode, Thabojan speaks with Carl Richards, the creator of the Sketch Guy column in the New York Times since 2010. He's very well known in the finance industry, particularly for his books, one page financial plan and the behavior gap.

Carl Richards is famous for his collection of sketches through which he makes complex financial concepts easy to understand his sketches have appeared in various exhibitions and are mostly found on the walls in offices of hundreds of financial advisors around the world.

Thabojan and Carl explore about the concept of real financial planning as opposed to the product focused approach used by so many financial advisors globally and why starting with one's purpose is the only way to truly achieve everything that is most important to you.

They also talk about the challenges that humans face when trying to invest and why we are not built to be good at investing which leads us to the conversation about how humans need to think in order to be good at investing.

You will learn about how to invest, particularly when markets are scary and uncertain, which is almost always, by the way, and make sure you listen to the end where we challenge the idea that more money is better.
